American Youth. At the museum.

These girls struck me as the epitome of the American pre-college/undergrad kids, dressed as they were in their high school/college sweaters and sweat-pants. Standing next to some high falutin' art video, collectively trying to figure out where to go next. Aaaah!

I remember when going to NYU, it struck me that there were two kinds of the privileged American undergrad: The kind like the girls above, probably from somewhere on the West coast or middle America, and then there were the kids who at age 18 had been in bands and played that, read this, done that, who were so blasé about everything in life I couldn't help but wonder what would be their next step. Where exactly they came from, I never found out.
