so, I'll be making nougat de Montélimar soon...ish

As soon as I get around to buying:
A Stand mixer
A Candy thermometer
A 9×13-inch pan
Wafer paper
And a Non-stick cooking spray

Oh bummer, I was looking for something when, out the corner of my eye, I spotted a thumbnail of the pic above, and immediately felt an urge to throw myself into the kitchen. Cos I love nougat, I really do. Plus, it looks so pretty cut into cubes like that.

But crap. So much stuff I have to buy before I can sink my teeth into one of those things. And I hate that. I really do.

Now it's just getting downright creepy! (Or have we talked about this already?) Only the other day, I sent my mother a wish list containing unsalted pistachios and wafer paper for that very reason. Maybe we should gather up our cooking gear and take a stab at it together?

Deal! Lad mig lige prøve at finde nogle usaltede pistacie-nødder i Longdong! For du har jo termometeret, det har jeg selv set. I øvrigt, mon ikke bagepapir kan gøre det ud for det wafer papir...Og så kan jeg jo passende agere stand mixer mens du hælder i skålen:O)

Men jeg tror ikke du har nævnt at du havde det som projekt. Eller var der mon et billede af nougat i dit australske mad-magazine? Så har det måske ligget latent i min madhjerne...Eller også er det bare fordi vi tænker ens. F.eks. tænker jeg, at du også har tænkt, at hvis du dypper din nougat i chokolade, så bliver det næsten en P-tærte.
