The other day Heidi brought us a batch of her home-made chocolate-mint and chocolate-ginger toffees, and since they were all gone quicker that I'd like to admit, I set out to make some of my own last night.

All of which went by really swell. As you can see, the caramel was cut into neat little squares and were lying there shiny and pretty on the plate before me as I photographed them. Except, by the time I sat down two minutes later to wrap them up individually in pieces of baking paper as Heidi had done, they had all melted and merged into one gooey, inseparable mess again.
