Let me just overcompensate for not having blogged for so long

The top picture is from the storefront window of a peculiar boutique on Lafayette that sells customized All-Stars and neon-colored clothing (among other things). Inside, I overheard a five-year-old boy enthusiastically declare to the proprietor/artist: "Hey, I really like your work".

I don't really know what to make of that, except, I guess, this is what you get when you raise your kid in downtown New York. He wasn't annoying or anything, but I think he actually understood what he was saying. Which, for some reason, I find slightly alarming.

Oh, and bottom one: Cheesecake-Ginger swirl at Momofuko. They gave us two spoons, but I decided not to share.
