I'm planning on baking loads this weekend (do you sense my weekend euphoria?). Perhaps another batch of these Swedish treats that go by the name of havreflarn - the Scandi equivalent of a chewy, oatmeal cookie.
Here's how you go about it: Melt 75 grams of butter in a saucepan. When it has melted, you add 100 mills of sugar, flour and oatmeal (so 300 mills in total), a pinch of salt, half a teaspoon of baking soda, and one and a half tablespoon of milk and syrup each. Mix it all up, put little spoonfuls of batter on a baking sheet with good space in between and whack 'em into a 200 degree oven (Celsius) for about 10 minutes or until they're golden brown and look like dollops of melted caramel.
They won't disappoint, promise.
