Come Friday morning, I'm so exited about the weekend I can barely contain myself. Throw in some beautiful fall weather (not too cold, a drizzle here, some sun there) and the prospect of cooking up a bunch of comforting and homely dishes, I'm as close to ecstatic as can be. I'm thinking grilled cheese sandwiches, a rum toddy, and something that needs to cook forever on the stove:O)

(By the way, those pan-fried zucchini flowers are Johan's making. He's much better than me at taking on ambitious cooking projects.)
