Upstairs

There was a sliver of sun coming through the windows last weekend, so I jumped at the chance to shoot some photos of our bedroom area, which I redid the weekend before last.

Hunting for blue skies. Literally, but also kinda metaphorically speaking.

Perhaps it's about time that I acknowledge that I've developed into a bi-monthly blogger, and skip the 'tis the reason I haven't blogged opener, which, honestly, I don't even bother reading at this point.

So, January. Were you always this dark and depressing? Did you always leave me feeling like a 5-day-old, unrefrigerated pizza slice? Did you always make me walk around wishing for a winning lottery ticket yet not grace me the willpower to actually buy a lottery ticket so I'd actually have a chance of winning?

In all honesty, there have been days (or was it only a couple of hours, in fact?), when the sun came out in all its glory and the sky lit up in the most perfect of blues. That's when I ran for my camera and started shooting stuff frantically, exaggeratedly angling my camera this way and that like a fashion photographer in a made-for-tv movie.

Anyway, belated merry Christmas and happy new year people. Let's hope for a nice and exciting 2015 :)

Isn't this photo great? Johan and I received it as a Christmas gift from his mom's beau. It's from the 90s and it's from Rome, and I love it to bits! (Whenever I look at it, I also think to myself: Wow, that guy must have such a great personality, because that wife is kind of a catch).
